The answer to efficient monitoring is the M-System.


The TCM® solution’s versatile data acquisition and analyzing unit is placed inside the nacelle of the wind turbine. The M-System synchronously collects data from a number of connected accelerometers and sensors and transfers the analyzed information including alarms to the TCM® Site Server and/or the wind turbine controller.


  • Measurements are displayed as a time series, which can be post-processed as an auto spectrum or a cepstrum, etc.
  • Time series can be recorded simultaneously on all channels in full bandwidth (a typical measurement cycle only takes 2 minutes)
  • RMS values can be shown in a selected band, on time signals, or on side band signatures


Daily monitoring made simple
The M-System lessens the burden on the operator by making daily monitoring less cumbersome.  The M-System processes up to 275 GB of data on a daily basis, however, due to its very unique ability to analyze and compress data, only 4-6 MB of data is managed by the operator on a daily basis.

The M-System has been designed especially for wind turbines, allowing for online alarm evaluation, online data merging and binning, and the added feature of measurement tracking. e.g. re-sampled according to RPM.

M-System Mark II

The M-System Mark II is the successor of the M-System Mark I and boasts a more robust construction, increased service-friendliness (in-field replacement of worn parts), better cabling solutions, and compliancy with stricter industrial standards.

The M-System Mark II holds the following compliancies: GL, UL, RoHs, CE, IEC 60068-2-64, and FCC Part 15B.


  • Expandable up to 24 channels
  • Operating temperatures up to 60° C (140° F) and down to -30° C (-22° F)
  • Functional at up to 3,000 m (9,843 ft.) altitude
  • Maximum sampling frequency of 40.9 kHz
  • IP degree 54, thus no enclosure is needed in the nacelle
  • Easy installation with cable harness with connectors at both ends

M-System Mi

The M-System Mi, our newest of M-Systems, has been designed specifically for use in retrofit projects due to its compact and lightweight design.  The M-System Mi does not only fit the ”plug n’ play” concept with its ease of mountability, it can measure a range of parameters from vibration, voltage, and current to RPM. It even has a CANbus interface for communication with CANopen sensors. *The Mi is sold bundled with our monitoring service.

The M-System Mi holds the following compliancies: RoHs, CE, IEC 60068-2-64, the Chinese Energy Agency Guideline for CMS: NB/T 31004-2011, and FCC Part 15B.

M-System Mark I


The M-System Mark I has been obsolete since 2013 and has since been replaced by the M-System Mark II.

The Mark I is still supported with quarterly software releases and continues to be fully compliant with the TCM® monitoring suite of products.  Furthermore, we are happy to repair your Mark I systems. Just follow our RMA procedure.

For those wishing to upgrade to the Mark II, we offer an upgrade kit for 8- or 16-channels, which enables you to use the existing cabinet from the M-System Mark I and upgrade to the M-System Mark II with ease.  Additionally, the upgrade kit makes it possible to replace the M-System Mark I without replacing the terminal connectors.  The unique ”click and go” concept allows you to click existing cabling with connectors to fixed terminal connectors on the cable organizer, leaving your cabling secure in the cabinet.
