Release Update 10.11

TCM® Release Update 10.11 is available for deployment. With this release comes new functionality in TCM® Enterprise Server including a new feature for acknowledgement of multiple alarm events. Updates to TCM® Ocular and updates to the change management page on M-Systems, securing the interface bewteen Site Server and M-System and much more..

Read more about this release below.

Software update of slave systems

In master/slave constellations, the slave systems are now automatically being software updated.  The Site Server will use the master systems as a proxy for updating the slave system. The Site Server will report if the any M-System is not up to date through system log information.

Security improvements

Updates to the change management page securing the interface between Site Server and M-System. By selecting the secure mode, the M-System’s firewall will only allow connections from the Site Server. It is possible to choose a timeout period for this configuration, by choosing a time setting e.g. 2 hours, in the “Legacy Protocol Timeout” box. Hereby you will, you get a specified time window for working on the M-System in legacy mode and thus enabling temporary access to the system’s web pages.

New Rogowski coils are available for commissioning

Gram & Juhl now offer two new Rogowski coils for commissioning. The new Rogowski coils are non-intrusive, thin, lightweight, flexible, and robust. They are simple to retrofit (clip together mechanism) and has a wide bandwidth with predictable frequency.

Acknowledgement of multiple alarm events

New item in the fault handling menu called “Bulk assignments” has been implemented to reduce the number of clicks per event. The new function allows for multiple acknowledgements of alarm events through a 3 steps simple approach to go through alarms:

Step 1: Define event filter – Set up a filter for which set of alarms you want to assign

Step 2: Verify filtered event list – review the list of events

Step 3: Perform bulk assignment – Specify the parameters for the selection of events (multiple selection)

No need to revisit acknowledged alarms

New settings have been introduced to the due fault list regarding bulk assignments. Now you have the possibility to acknowledge alarms without having to revisit them by checking the “Disable Track State Changes” box.

Introducing constraints in Bin definitions

Often, we find ourselves in the situation that turbines operate in unusual states that deviate from nominal operating mode. An example here-of is curtailment or operation under extreme wind. These outliers can now be binned separately without affecting existing bin definitions by the introduction of a new flexible configuration level in the bin definitions called “Binning constraints”. By extending the binning conditions it enables you to further refine the binning process and thereby further assuring the reproducibility of data over time.

New copy/paste function within Mask Manager making it easier to work with definitions

TCM® Ocular uses plots for data mining and visualization of turbine trends to identify faulted turbine components. You can View data in 3D in the 3dView, Waterfall, Contour or Overlay plots. Due to the importance of the visualization in determining faults, Gram & Juhl keep focusing on making the visualization even better.

Therefore the Overlay plot performance has now been improved by deferring non-visual updates to a background process. This significantly improves the use case of scrolling through collections of data from multiple turbines over time.

Additional

Color schemes are now available for Contour, and Tartan plots order to improve data visualization for people with color vision deficiency
