The main focus on this release is the newly developed plugins for TCM® Ocular will be a way to add new functions to TCM® Ocular Pro. The plugins for TCM® Ocular Pro vil be available for TCM® Enterprise customers

The new development includes 3 Mask Operations plugins for TCM® Ocular Pro.

  • Mask Browser
  • Mask Adjustment
  • Mask Manager

It is a precondition for any of these plugins that sites have been configured to synchronize with rest protocol.

  • Mask Browser

The Mask Browser allows for browsing all current and historical masks for a specific turbine.

The Mask Browser allows for filtering of the displayed columns. It will load all masks for the selected turbine giving you the option to see which masks are active, and have been active historically. You now have the possibility to further narrow in search, and it includes all mask settings, giving you complete possibility to browse everything.

  • Mask Adjustment

Visual adjustment of specific mask setting on a selected turbine (Visual Mask Adjustment) allows you to adjust masks of one turbine, one measurement and one operating condition at a time.

Visual Mask adjustment is the process of adjusting a specific alarm level on a specific measurement on a specific turbine/measurement for specific operating conditions. The Visual Mask adjust is typically carried out in response to an alarm when the alarm is judged as not indicating a component degradation.

It consists of a plotting area where a number of historical measurements are plotted as a trend, and you can directly adjust the level in comparison to the trend.

The current operating conditions can be selected, and whenever a new selection is made, the plotting area will be filled with measurements and masks for this condition. The Reset button allows for reverting to original mask levels at any time.

The adjusted mask level definitions are sent to the TCM® Enterprise Server which will take over responsibility for deploying changes to Site. It is possible to see a log of all changes, containing information that allows for tracing operations done on the selected turbine.

  • Mask Manager

Mask Manager is a very powerful new tool. Basically it’s an xml editor that visually allows you to edit your mask definitions.

The Mask Manager complements the Mask Deployments in TCM® Enterprise. Once you have selected one of the configurations and load the mask definition from the server you get an editor for xml files. Here you are able to directly edit the values in an existing mask, or define a new mask – you can see a side by side comparison of the original and the changes you have made, and upload the file changes.

The Mask Definitions Editor allows for full control of masks being deployed to turbines in your Enterprise. It provides an editor for maintaining Mask Definition files. It thereby assures a much better verification of the contents of these files as compared to a conventional text editor.

This editor provides a lot of value as it allows you to review what you do and it ensures that you cannot choose wrong names.

You now also have full control of the process of re-running masks. Based on the Mask Definitions made for a particular turbine, it is possible to “Re-run” mask calculations. This scenario is relevant if one or more components have been replaced on a turbine or if you want to re-calculate a subset of masks on a number of similar turbines.
